SV Tech Source Supports Youth Education with Chromebook Donations to Naga City Sangguniang Kabataan Councils

Milpitas, CA–City of Naga, Cebu, Philippines, January 2026 — SV Tech Source, a provider of data center engineering, IT asset management, and e-waste and solar panel recycling solutions, announced the donation of 35 Chromebook units to multiple Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils in City of Naga, Cebu, Philippines. The initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to youth development, digital literacy, and expanded access to education.

The donation was initiated by Mr. Abito P. Illustrisimo, Operations Manager at SV Tech Source and a native of City of Naga, Cebu, who sought to give back to his hometown community in support of youth education. Having immigrated to the United States more than 20 years ago, Illustrisimo has remained deeply connected to his roots and committed to community service.

Throughout January 2024, SV Tech Source donated Chromebook units on four separate occasions, five units to Barangay Colon, five to Barangay Balirong, five to Barangay Inoburan, and 20 units to Barangay Naalad. Representatives from the recipient councils, SK Chairpersons Hon. Lyrah Mae R. Repollo, Hon. Rica Kaye C. Abellanosa, Hon. Aldwin H. Postrero, and Hon. Raven B. Sayago expressed their heartfelt appreciation, noting that the devices will play a critical role in advancing technical education and supporting the development of an E-Learning Hub for students and youth with limited access to digital resources.

All donated Chromebook units were transferred without monetary consideration and are designated exclusively for educational use, with the recipient SK councils assuming responsibility for proper maintenance and safekeeping.

“These donations reflect our shared belief that access to technology is essential for today’s learners,” said Abito P. Illustrisimo, Operations Manager at SV Tech Source. “By supporting local youth councils, we hope to empower students with tools that help them learn, grow, and prepare for future opportunities.”

Through initiatives like this, SV Tech Source continues to support grassroots education efforts and strengthen partnerships with local communities, ensuring that technology serves as a bridge, not a barrier to opportunity.

Silicon Valley Tech Source Affirms Strong Support for Korea Zinc and Leadership

Milpitas, CA-Seoul, S. Korea, September 16, 2024 — Silicon Valley Tech Source (SV Tech Source) announces a strong statement of support for Korea Zinc and its management team including Chairman Yun B. Choi.

SV Tech Source has been following closely the recent activity around the tender process for Korea Zinc’s (“KZ”) shares as well as comments surrounding KZ’s management structure and corporate governance.

KZ is one of SV Tech Source’s most important customers and vice versa and we have worked together closely since 2016.

KZ is a market leader in industrial metals and is known globally in the market for its professionalism, product stewardship, corporate governance and developing long term relationships that have mutual benefit for all stakeholders.

We have been impressed by the evolution and growth of KZ, as we have grown ourselves and as a major supplier we have seen a very professional and well managed transition of the leadership team over the years with a strong focus on maintaining the core values and industry leadership that KZ is known for, while also developing a strong and coherent vision for how KZ will maintain its standing as an industry leader to service future markets of industrial and battery metals.

We are deeply troubled by recent publicly made comments critical of how KZ manages its business affairs and its corporate governance and these statements seem opportunistic and self serving by parties that are seemingly attempting to benefit by creating turmoil.

We strongly disagree with these assessments of KZ’s management and operations and question how global suppliers and stakeholders (who have a choice in which parties they deal with in the global markets) will approach future business dealings with KZ, if there is a hostile change to the business model and core values of KZ.

According to SV Tech Source,  “These kind of hostile changes will be detrimental to KZ’s future success which impacts all stakeholders. We strongly support the current management team of KZ and their innovative vision for the future of industrial and battery metals.”
